Where we start
Every company already has an operating system.
The question is not whether you have one. You do. Work gets estimated, scheduled, built, reported and billed every week, and it happens because people make it happen.
The real question is where that system lives, and what happens to the company when the people holding it leave.
We build operating systems that increase the work a company can carry without adding coordination overhead at the same rate.
Three generations
Most companies are running on one of three systems.
None of them are wrong. They are what was available. The difference is how much of the company survives a change in staff, and how much coordination each new project costs.
The system lives in people
What has worked before, held together by human coordination. The project manager carries the job. The superintendent or foreman resolves what is unclear in the field and reports daily progress back up.
Reporting tools exist on the job because the contract requires them, not because the company chose them for the way it runs.
When an experienced person departs, the project memory and the institutional knowledge leave with them. The company hires again and relearns what it already knew.
People plus software the overhead uses
Estimating goes into an estimating package. Operations run on spreadsheets. Work that was built in the field gets typed in after the fact so the numbers line up.
The tools normalize the paperwork and standardize how the office records things.
The operating system still runs inside a person's head. The software holds the output, not the way the company actually works.

The context
Productivity in this work has been slipping while other industries kept climbing.
The usual explanation is people. Not enough of them, not experienced enough, not staying long enough. That explanation is incomplete.
Other industries did not grow because their people got better faster. They grew because the operating system around their people got better, so knowledge accumulated in the organization instead of walking out the door.
Treat it as a systems problem and it becomes solvable inside the company you already have.
Why nobody built it for you
A system built for one company is a system the software industry will not build.
Subcontracting and vendor organizations are the core of industrial work in this country and in every country that builds. Each one runs differently, and each one that wanted a system fitted to its own operation had to attempt it alone.
Software businesses avoid that work on purpose. A system serving one company does not resell, so the industry offers the same general tool to everyone and leaves each company to bend its operation around it.
So the system has to be built for the company, and the method of building it has to be repeatable. That is the problem we took on.

Every company gets its own system. We do not start from zero.
Groundline is the operating structure underneath our work. It is not something we sell and not something we hand you with your name on it. It is the set of proven patterns we build from, so the method repeats without standardizing your company.

The mission

Industrial capacity lives inside operating companies. In the people who know how to estimate, plan, procure, build, supervise, solve problems, hold commitments and deliver the work.
Our job is to help those companies preserve that knowledge and make more of it usable across the organization. One company at a time. One operating system at a time. One workflow at a time.
If those companies can carry more work, develop people faster and depend less on coordination overhead to grow, the capacity of the industrial base grows with them.
Defense Industrial Base
Rynalty Applied Systems modernizes the organizations responsible for physical mission execution.
We developed the model commercially inside specialty contracting, where fragmented operations directly affect schedule, margin and delivery. We are now extending that operating model into the defense industrial base.
Rynalty has established its DoD contracting infrastructure, received JCP certification and DLA Enhanced Validation, and has an organizational-readiness SBIR proposal currently under DLA evaluation.
